Man Mohan Singh Death: Former Prime Minister of the country, Dr. Manmohan Singh said goodbye to the world on Thursday 26 December 2024 at the age of 92. Dr. Manmohan Singh’s last rites will be performed at Nigam Bodh Ghat on Saturday, December 28 at 11:45 am, for which preparations are being made since the night. But on the other hand, Congress demands that the last rites should be performed only where the memorial is built.

Now amidst all this, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has commented. Akhilesh reacted on social media site X. Akhilesh has said that ‘the tradition of respect should be followed in the context of the Samadhi of the former Prime Minister of the country. There is no need for any politics on this issue, nor should there be. Dr. Manmohan Singh’s Samadhi should be built at Rajghat only. BJP should not present an inappropriate example of its narrow thinking. History will never forgive BJP for its negative attitude.

Congress President wrote a letter to PM Modi
Earlier, Congress had demanded a suitable place for the last rites and memorial of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. In this regard, National President of Congress Mallikarjun Kharge wrote to the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi Had also written a letter to. Kharge mentioned in the letter that considering the stature of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, his last rites should be performed only where a memorial can be constructed.

He has requested the Modi government to allot space for this. In the letter he mentioned that by doing this the tradition of building memorials in the memory of politicians and former Prime Ministers of the country can be followed. The Congress President wrote that there is a special place for former Prime Minister Sardar Manmohan Singh in the hearts of the nation and its citizens. His achievements and his contribution to the development of the country are unprecedented.

Minister Sanjay Nishad warned SP MP Burke, said- be careful, otherwise the situation will be like Azam Khan.

At the end of the letter, the Congress President wrote that he not only hopes but also has faith that considering the stature of Sardar Manmohan Singh, the government will allot a suitable place for his memorial.
